Mulhouse

Mulhouse has two lines that cross each other at Porte Jeune in the city centre. Both lines were opened together in 2006. A branch of line 1 to Parc des Expositions is operated during special events only. Furthermore in 2010, Mulhouse became the first French city with a dual-mode regional tramway line over both urban tramway and the regional rail line from Lutterbach to Thann, comparable to the Karlsruhe system in Germany. In the city, the regional tramway uses stretches of the two other lines and new infrastructure between Daguerre and Lutterbach parallel to the mainline tracks. There are short workings labelled line 3.
